Strategies for a New Brand Launch on Social Media

Often, startups are looking for a way to launch on social media with impact, but scaling their efforts (and costs). Typically the questions we get are

“When should we start working with a social media agency?”

“How can we have the lowest efforts with the biggest impact while launching?”

Obviously every brand needs a custom approach to their strategy based on their goals and budget, but generally if we are focused on driving brand awareness and sales from the start, here is our approach for the best ROI:

Pre-Launch

  • We like to start working with brands at least 2-3 months prior to launch. This gives us time to craft a social media strategy and create assets to launch with.

    • Suggested Budget: $7-15k

  • Prior to launching (after strategy is created), we create a content library to start with on social media (organic and paid ads) - this typically looks like a variety of creative types (UGC, Images, Videos, 3D, etc.)

    • Suggested Budget: $10-50k

  • During pre-launch we will seed influencers with the product to build hype, drive email sign ups, and start building a following. We will also seed accounts with starter content - organic channels and influencer accounts across all social channels for SEO purposes.

    • Suggested Budget: $5-30k

Launch

  • Once we launch, we will want to start posting to organic social media consistently (but minimally), with time dedicated to social listening - getting involved in relevant conversations (especially on TikTok).

    • Posting Cadence: Weekly

  • We will want to continue with more content from influencers from pre-launch to continue to build hype.

    • Suggested Budget: $4-25k

  • Paid advertising will be our main focus during this period, launching new creative as we see fit.

    • Starting at $3-5k per channel and scaling from there


Post-Launch/On-Going

  • Consistent organic posting across channels - increasing total posts over time (as well as management and social listening time - introducing new channels as see fit).

  • Consistent influencer partnerships

  • Introduce brand collaborations

  • Paid Ads Scaling - increasing budget (and rotating creative as we see fit.
